Summers are for spending time with your family and taking a fun beach trip. Celebrate the kids being out of school and doing a job well done. You can do something close by or travel somewhere far. Whether it’s a road trip or a flight that gets you to your destination. Both feel rewarding.
Planning summer family vacations help build up the excitement for the summertime. It gives everyone something to look forward to. For me, I’ve traveled more of the east coast for beaches. Going close by to New Jersey, Maryland, and Delaware to Virginia, South Carolina, and Florida. Now I know there are beaches all over and I’d love to visit many of them. But these are the ones I’m most familiar with. All are great to travel to with families. There are many kid-friendly activities to enjoy. By enjoying the boardwalk during the day and at night, it feels completely different in both settings. To a fun game of miniature golf. But we all know those tend to get a little competitive so sweeten up the mood with that delicious soft-serve ice cream afterward.
Take advantage of all the small business shops in the local areas for some beautiful household items, along with the typical fun beach shops along the boardwalk. If you are anything like me, being one of the kids in the arcades is always a fun time! We enjoy spending some time together by trying to get as many tickets as we can collect together. Most beaches will also have some other fun things to see. Especially when going to Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. They have amusement parks, aquariums, helicopter rides, and museums to explore. These are some fun activities that everyone should check out. However many other locations, have some if not all of these amazing attractions. So wherever you may be traveling, be sure to check the surrounding areas before going. Look for some fun activities for everyone to enjoy. Sometimes you’ll even find some coupons to help save some money in the process. Who doesn’t love to save a few dollars?
Now one thing we started doing on our family vacations, is to check nearby tourist sites. Whether it be a beautiful view of the ocean, to a park close by with a nice lighthouse. We go early in the morning and take a drive to spend some time at these beautiful sites. Plus it’s always a great photo opportunity! I highly recommend doing this as a nice quality family time. Sometimes even plan it around sunrise or sunset to make it even more special. There’s nothing like it, I promise that!
