Fun Daily Last-Minute Trips

Sometimes an entire week’s vacation cannot fit into our everyday lives. So how else can we enjoy some time off? Why not take a fun daily trip? Doesn’t have to be somewhere crazy, even something as simple as a nice scenery hike will do. So what are some ideas for having a nice one-day trip? Read along to get some great ideas for not only yourself but with friends and/or your family.

Have a day off during the week, or on a weekend? Check your local area for some fun ideas to enjoy the day with a trip. You can look into places with gorgeous scenery, an amusement park with some fun activities, be adventurous outdoors, or even just a simple relaxing spa day at a resort will do. Grab some of your friends and or family and look into closeby attractions. Ever gone white water rafting? I have been, and it’s a great time to do with some close friends or even your close family. It’s a great bonding experience, a nice workout, and also a fun adventurous time out on the water on some beautiful days.

Look into some amusement parks that may be nearby. Maybe even a water park. Take the day and pack a lunch and have some fun. If it’s still cold outside, you can always look into the indoor parks. Living on the East Coast, we came across the American Dream Mall that now has Nickelodeon Theme Park indoors, with some miniature golf, and also a Dreamworks Water Park all within a Mall. We found this a few years ago, woke up one Saturday morning, and decided we should look into something different and new to do. Typed in our google maps family-friendly things nearby and changed the distance to less than a two-hour drive. Next thing we know, we are in the car driving to Nickelodeon Theme Park. It was fun for everyone, not just the kids but the adults as well. It was a spur-of-the-moment decision and it turned into an everlasting memory for the family.

Live close to a beach? Maybe hop in the car, and drive to the nearest beach. Relax by the water, if it’s warm out catch some of the waves, bring a book to enjoy, and feel the sun on a gorgeous day. Sometimes a trip doesn’t have to be within a distance. Even just a fun day at a museum can feel like a fun getaway. Maybe check out canoeing in a unique cave, or take a bicycle ride down some trail or boardwalk. Even just looking at nearby resorts for skiing and snow tubing can be a full fun day activity to enjoy. Maybe you love the adventure of hiking, and finding a nearby mountain to climb, or a nice trail in the woods or park to explore. Either way, these should be a must-do in our lives once in a while. Doesn’t have to be anything crazy or extravagant, but sometimes waking up one morning and deciding to just enjoy the day to its fullest can be very rewarding.

Every once in a while know that we all deserve it, yes the house may need to be cleaned or there may need to be errands to run. However, sometimes these things can be pushed aside to accomplish on another day. Sometimes we all just need to stop with all the responsibility of growing up, let loose, and enjoy a day to have fun and relax. That great quality time will be well worth it. Trust me on that!!!
